In Florida, there is a group that seeks to dominate the radon measurement and mitigation business and squash all competition. Unfortunately the public has been and is presently being harmed by such behavior.

Their technology is ancient, based on the old "Hey I can do that" radon mitigation approach of the 1980's of drilling a hole in a wall, putting in a fan and blowing outdoor air into the air  handler closet. Sometimes, they even put in a hog's hair filter the size of a deck of cards. It is a quick, easy and highly profitable no-brainer. Unfortunately for property owners in hot, humid climates, this primitive technology sometimes leads to "bugs, mold and rot" that may not show up for months or even several years. Their most recent low technology installations of ERV's without any moisture control or automatic operation features is also subject to increasing humidity and moisture problems that sometimes lead to "bugs, mold and rot." And they do not want you to find this out UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE...

Their "Front Man" who does the dirty work for the group of four is a radon measurement fellow who has managed to dominate the radon measurement industry and who is fearless in his advocacy and recommendation of only his two favorite radon mitigation firms. He sings their praises throughout the seven webs he uses in a multitude of identities and behind a multitude of phone numbers and business names. He is also notorious for his highly aggressive attacks on the competition. Curiously, his only radon certification by the state of Florida is as a Radon Measurement Technician, the lowest grade of radon certification that exists. Not long ago, he was directed by the Florida Radon Office to refrain from making comments regarding radon mitigation since he was not an expert, but he ignores such directive and continues to sing the praises of two radon mitigation firms and to condemn all others.  He has a number of "Weekend Wonder" certifications to cloak himself in the mantle of a genuine expert.

It is common knowledge in the industry that RadonMan refuses to pay kickbacks, or "marketing fees" for any other euphemisms for simple kickback schemes that are not disclosed to all parties to the transactions.
